The Regional Branch Manager is responsible for the overall performance, leadership, and strategic direction of multiple branches within a designated region. This role provides direct supervision to Branch and Operations Managers and ensures alignment with organizational goals, policies, and service standards. The Regional Branch Manager drives operational excellence, member satisfaction, staff development, and business growth across all assigned locations, while fostering a strong, collaborative team culture. This position plays a critical leadership role in promoting the credit union’s brand, vision, and service philosophy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Branch Managers to ensure strong leadership at each branch location
- Exceeds performance expectations by way of service and production goals
- Oversee daily operations and performance metrics for all branches within the assigned region
- Ensure consistency in service delivery, compliance, and operational standards across branches
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement branch-level strategic initiatives
- Drive member engagement and deposit/loan growth by supporting business development efforts and community involvement, including financial literacy initiatives
- Monitor branch financial performance, member satisfaction, staffing levels, and productivity
- Ensure staff training and development programs are effectively executed in alignment with performance expectations
- Assist in hiring, performance evaluations, coaching, and succession planning for branch leadership
- Implement operational best practices and ensure compliance with credit union policies and regulatory requirements
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and service enhancements within the branch network
- Act as a liaison between branch teams and executive management, facilitating two-way communication and support
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of leadership experience in retail banking or credit union operations, with multi-branch oversight
- Demonstrated success in managing and developing high-performing teams
- Strong knowledge of branch operations, consumer lending, member service, and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and banking/CRM systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a credit union environment and systems
- Familiarity with NCUA regulations and state credit union requirements
- Previous experience in regional sales management or strategic planning
- This position requires regular travel between branches within the assigned region
- Standard office environment with some weekend and extended hours as needed
- Must be able to sit, stand, and operate standard office equipment for extended periods
