Job description

The primary purpose of this role is to have ultimate responsibility for overall branch performance within the assigned Region, focusing on sales, customer service, associate engagement, operational excellence, safety, leadership development, and P&L management. This leader is expected to drive branch performance by approaching the business strategically, studying issues and opportunities within local markets, and developing/implementing long-range plans that drive business objectives.

The Director, Regional Operations will coach and develop leadership talent within the Region and lead people through change. This leader must empower Branch leadership to operate autonomously and ensure all branches are always sales and service ready, with all corporate programs effectively implemented.

Essential Functions:
  1. Partner with leadership to review Regional strategies and execute them across branches, ensuring General Managers understand their impact and responsibilities.
  2. Drive execution of corporate and regional programs to boost sales and service; hold management accountable for sales goals and motivate them to achieve results independently.
  3. Ensure branches meet or exceed service expectations, utilizing available initiatives and technologies to differentiate service.
  4. Establish and communicate key Regional priorities aligning with overall strategy.
  5. Visit branches regularly to verify standards are maintained and take swift action when standards fall short.
  6. Review staffing, payroll, and expense reports; take corrective actions and seek efficiencies in staffing and expenses; collaborate with Regional Staff to implement operational programs.
  7. Develop Branch Managers into autonomous, high-performing leaders; foster leadership development and attract diverse talent to enhance sales and profitability.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 7+ years of experience developing and implementing operations initiatives
  • 5+ years in retail, warehouse management, or MRO
Preferences:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5+ years leading large-scale operations initiatives
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Pay Range: $113,000.00 - $188,700.00 annually. Starting pay may vary based on factors such as location, education, and experience. For benefits information, visit our benefits page.
