The Investigator will be a TCOLE certified peace officer with a working knowledge of the Texas Penal Code, the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, and the legal system in general. The Investigator will be responsible for Criminal Investigations in Auto Theft, Burglary of a Motor Vehicle and related offenses in the task force 26 County region.

An extensive background in all aspects of law enforcement enables the investigator to perform the duties required of this position.

Formación

• Education includes a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be TCOLE certified as a Texas Peace Officer with advanced or intermediate certification.
• Background check will be performed prior to employment.

Responsabilidades

• Perform all duties as a peace officer and conduct criminal investigations.
• Interview suspects and witnesses; draft and execute search warrants.
• Present cases to District and County Attorneys; testify in courts within the region.
• Collaborate with multiple law enforcement agencies; travel as required.
• Maintain accurate records and reports; operate vehicles and firearms safely.
