Job description

Are you detail-oriented, proactive, who is passionate about property management and looking to take the next step in your professional journey? Join our team as a Regional Property Manager Assistantand play a key role in maintaining top-quality residential properties while expanding your skillset and furthering your career in property management!

About the Role
This part-timeposition is perfect for someone with property management experience who enjoys providing excellent service to a portfolio of properties, in direct assistance to our Director of Property Management. You will be responsible for property inspections, notice posting, rent-ready unit verification, and supporting the administrative team with move-out processes and data management as you help oversee a portfolio of properties across your designated region.

It’s important to note that while this role would be partially remote/work from home (when completing virtual administrative tasks), the incumbent will be expected to travel to various properties in the designated locality, and must be willing/able to do so throughout their working hours as required/necessary to complete assigned duties. While once the incumbent is established, there may be increased consistency in terms of WFH hours vs. field work hours, this is NOT the role for someone who is looking to primarily work from home or who is not willing to tend to their properties in person with complete flexibility during scheduled working hours. Position Overview:
Pay Rate: $22.00/Hour
Schedule: Part-Time, 5 Hours Per Day, 25 Hours Per Week, Monday – Friday; Incumbent Can Select Exact Schedule Within Business/Daytime Hours (8:00am - 5:30pm)
NOTE: We would consider a full-time schedule (40 hours per week - Monday - Friday, 8 Hours Per Day, Within Standard Business Hours) for this position as well - if you are interested but prefer full-time, please indicate that on your application questionnaire.
Location: Roving/Field-Based in the Orange County/Long Beach Region with Occasional Work-from-Home Administrative Duties

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Property Inspections – Regularly inspect assigned properties, document conditions, and follow up on maintenance needs.
Post Notices – Ensure legal and company-standard notices are posted accurately and on time.
Assist with Move-Outs – Verify rent-ready units, document conditions, and support security deposit processing.
Data Entry & Reporting – Maintain accurate records, submit weekly reports, and track follow-ups.
Tenant Interactions – Provide high-quality service and maintain strong tenant relations.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Relevant Experience: 3+ Years of Relevant Experience in Property Management, Inspections, or a Related Field is Required
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required , Higher Education or Relevant Certification/Licensing is Strongly Preferred , but Not Required
  • Availability: Available Within Standard Business Hours (Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm) Required, Occasional Availability on Weekends Strongly Preferred
  • Driver’s License and Vehicle: This Position Requires Roving Throughout the Wider Northern Los Angeles Region –a Valid Driver’s License and Reliable Personal Vehicle is Required
  • Strong Attention to Detail: Ensure Reports, Inspections, and Data Are Accurate and Timely
  • Technology Proficiency – Strong Computer Literacy with Experience in Microsoft Suites and Property Management Software Required . Experience with Data Entry Tools and Project Management Software (Asana) Preferred
Excellent Time Management: Ability to Meet Deadlines and Balance Multiple Properties
  • Problem-Solving & Proactive Thinking: Identify and Address Property Issues Before They Escalate
  • Customer Service & Communication: Professional, Clear, and Friendly Communication with Tenants and Team Members
  • Ability to Work Independently – Self-Motivated and Able to Take Ownership of Assigned Tasks
  • Authorization to Work in the United States: Candidates Must be Legal Citizens of the United States or Otherwise Authorized to Work in the United States without Sponsorship
  • Bonus Points: If you are interested in potentially moving into one of our properties in the near future, please note that on your application. While we do not have any open properties at this point in time, we are highly interested in an incumbent who would be open to receiving a rent discount in exchange for living on-site as a keyholder at one of our properties in the future.
Why Join Us?
Opportunity for Growth – We consider this role as a pipeline for creating future organizational leaders - successful incumbents will have bountiful room for upward advancement as you gain valuable experience in Regional Supervision and Multi-Property Portfolio Management.
Make a Real Impact – Ensure properties are well-maintained and meet company standards.
Part-Time Work from Home Schedule – While a primary portion of your time will be spent "in the field" doing things like delivering notices and completing move-out inspections - the remainder of your work (administrative tasks) will be spent working from home.
Supportive Team Environment – Work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative setting.

If you’re reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a well-managed property portfolio, we’d love to hear from you!
