Job summary

Utah Department of Natural Resources—Division of Wildlife Resources is seeking a Regional Aquatics Program Manager to lead regional sportfish and native species programs. You will supervise staff, manage budgets/grants, and coordinate with federal agencies and local partners to balance conservation with angling access.

The role requires strong leadership, data-driven decision making, and public engagement. Hybrid schedule with field and office work in Cedar City, UT.

Qualifications

• Education in fisheries or related natural resources with equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated supervisory and program management experience.
• Experience presenting to public groups and multi-agency projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct regional sportfish and native aquatic species programs.
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff while managing budgets and grants.
• Oversee population monitoring, research, and data analysis for management decisions.
• Represent the division at RAC meetings and with stakeholders.
