Job summary

The Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track focusing on regional anesthesiology. Applicants must have an M.D.

or M.D./Ph.D. and PA license is required, with ABA certification or candidacy; fellowship in regional anesthesiology and acute or chronic pain medicine is required.

Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD or equivalent required.
• ABA certification in anesthesiology or candidate in the examination system.
• Ability to obtain a Pennsylvania medical license.
• Fellowship training in regional anesthesiology and acute or chronic pain medicine.

Responsibilities

• Teach, supervise, and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in ORs and wards at HUP and PPMC.
• Provide clinical anesthesia and ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia blocks.
• Engage in lectures, workshops, and simulation sessions; contribute to clinical service.
