Job summary

Prairie View A&M University is seeking an Admission Counselor II (Regional Recruiter) for the San Antonio area. The role focuses on identifying and recruiting prospective undergraduate students, coordinating events, and guiding applicants through the enrollment process.

You will work with high schools, community colleges, and other partners to meet recruitment goals within the assigned territory, ensuring clear communication and comprehensive advising for applicants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One year of related experience.
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Knowledge of admissions functions of higher education.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit prospective undergraduate students across diverse populations in the San Antonio region.
• Represent PVAMU at recruitment events and coordinate activities with partners.
• Collaborate with high school counselors, transfer coordinators, and staff to guide applicants through the admissions process.
• Maintain recruitment records and complete event reports.
