Job summary

Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. is seeking a Regional Accounting Analyst to support the regional finance manager in the Denver/Aurora area. The role involves preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with monthly close in compliance with GAAP and SOX.

The position requires a 4-year degree in accounting or business and at least four years of experience in a similar role. Strong Excel, Power Query, and MS Office proficiency are essential; Oracle experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in accounting or business from an accredited institution.
• At least 4 years of prior experience in a similar role.
• Proficient in usage of Co-pilot for MS Office.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis, and macros.
• Power Query for reconciliations, reporting, and month-end close activities.
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Well organized and able to multi-task.
• Project management and follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and records journal entries for monthly close.
• Reconciles specified general ledger accounts.
• Reviews accounting entries for accuracy and prepares corrections as needed.
• Assists with financial reporting and month-end schedules and analysis.
• Performs other accounting/financial duties as requested.
• Supports the General Manager and regional finance team with accounting and finance-related requests.
• Assists with CAPEX tracking, analysis, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with the preparation of financial and Ad Hoc projects as needed (including Variance analysis, KPIs scorecards and other Ops related requests).
• Arrange various supporting schedules to be utilized in the preparation of the quarterly and annual financial statement preparation.
