Job summary

Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. in Denver/Aurora, CO, is seeking a Regional Accounting Analyst to support daily and monthly close, prepare journals, reconcile accounts, and assist the regional finance manager with SOX compliance.

You will partner with the finance team on CAPEX tracking, variance analysis, KPI scorecards, and ad hoc projects, leveraging Advanced Excel, Power Query, and GAAP knowledge to ensure accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• 4-year College Degree (Accounting, Business or similar) from an accredited institution.
• At least 4 years of prior experience in a similar role.
• Proficient in usage of Co-pilot for MS Office
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis, macros.
• Power Query, with the ability to support accounting reconciliations, reporting, and month-end close activities.
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
• Good analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills (i.e. oral and written).
• Well organized and able to multi-task.
• Project management skills, and follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Assists with financial reporting and month-end schedules and analysis
• Performs other accounting/financial duties as requested
• Supports the General Manager and regional finance team with accounting and finance-related requests.
• Assists with CAPEX tracking, analysis, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with the preparation of financial and Ad Hoc projects as needed (including Variance analysis, KPIs scorecards and other Ops related requests)
• Arrange various supporting schedules to be utilized in the preparation of the quarterly and annual financial statement preparation.

Purpose of Position:

This position will be responsible for assisting in preparing JEs, reconciling accounts, reviewing financial data and providing assistance to the regional finance manager in daily and monthly tasks. This role, will also ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
