The Sr. Field Account Manager supports service and engagement with customers to strengthen their relationship with UnitedHealthcare. Responsibilities include educating customers on their benefit plans, wellness resources, and communicating administrative changes (e.g., network or pharmacy drug updates). The role involves coordinating with internal teams to resolve service issues, conducting open enrollment meetings, wellness fairs, and facilitating the relationship between customers and internal service teams, including education on escalation paths.

If you reside in Indiana, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some challenging tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Support the service experience by working with the UMR Operations Team and other partners to resolve issues promptly.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams to manage customer service experience.
  3. Support the SAE in resolving escalated customer service requests and conducting customer consultations.
  4. Facilitate customer meetings with the Operations Team to address issues and identify service trends.
  5. Train customers on web services and reporting tools.
  6. Update SAE on customer service trends, reporting, wellness initiatives, and improvement opportunities.
  7. Participate in new business and finalist presentations to represent service experience.
  8. Establish and maintain relationships with customers and brokers/consultants as needed.
  9. Coordinate enrollment materials and resolve pre-implementation service issues with the Implementation Team.
  10. Conduct enrollment meetings and health fairs.
  11. Demonstrate healthcare industry knowledge and understanding of customer-specific industries.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:
  • Insurance license as required by law within 30 days of hire.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a client-facing service role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual productivity tools.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills in various settings.
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to influence internal partners.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% as required.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Over 5 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience with Labor & Trust or Taft-Hartley health funds.
  • Background in Human Resources or Medical Benefits.

The hourly range for this role is $24.04 to $55.29, based on full-time employment, market factors, experience, and certifications.
