Regional Account Manager - Industrial Automation - Team Selling

This is a remote, field-based sales position. The ideal candidate will work from their home office and cover a regional sales territory of Madison and Western Wisconsin.

Compensation & Benefits:

Starting base salary ranges from $83,640 to $126,500, with additional variable sales commissions based on performance. SICK offers comprehensive benefits including PTO, medical, dental, vision, disability/life insurance, 401k, and more. Click here to view more about our benefits!

Position Summary:

The Regional Account Manager will support and grow profitable sales within strategic industries in the region. Responsibilities include managing assigned accounts, driving market share, and collaborating with the team to provide customer-centric solutions involving products, services, and systems.

Responsibilities:
  1. Act as the trusted advisor and main contact for customers, introducing and selling SICK solutions to meet goals and expand market share.
  2. Work strategically with the team to achieve individual and team objectives.
  3. Develop and maintain customer relationships, understanding their business needs and technical language.
  4. Utilize consultative sales techniques to uncover customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
  5. Manage customer communications and maintain accurate CRM data.
  6. Identify new business opportunities and introduce new products and services.
  7. Develop strategic account plans and pursue continuous sales improvement.
  8. Participate in trade shows and marketing presentations as needed.
Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Four-year degree in a technical field with sales experience in complex industrial automation solutions.
  • Prior industry or sales experience preferred.

Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to travel regionally up to four days a week.
  • Strong sales management and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of automation software and technologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet applications.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
