The Avalon Group is one of the nation\'s fastest growing natural foods brokers specializing in providing plant-based, organic, non-GMO, fair trade, and gluten free certified brands to the food service, vending, c-store and manufacturing channels. At Avalon, we simply and strategically connect the dots between our brands, operators, and their distributor partners.

This role is 50% hunter and 50% farmer.

Your job responsibilities will encompass all activity related to opening new business and the management and growth of existing business in the Intermountain territory. As a Regional Account Manager, you are expected to obtain, maintain and grow relationships with operators and distributors through all Food Service channels in your assigned territory. You are expected to participate in meetings and/or cuttings with operators and/or distributors as well as in tradeshows and events. This role requires the candidate to be excellent with account management, and business development via telephone, video conference calls, online and in-person. You will also engage with distributor sales teams, coordinate samples, brand presentations reviewing features and benefits of products, and utilizing consultative selling to incorporate our brands into prospective and existing customer offerings. You will be responsible for the management and reporting (via use of our CRM tool) for all assigned accounts (operator and distributor) to ensure measurable growth month over month.

Qualifications
  • MUST have Food Service experience (distributor rep, broker rep, brand rep)
  • Experience utilizing CRM
  • Strong time management skills are critical
  • Good communication skills (phone, face-to-face and email) - YOU MUST NOT BE AFRAID TO PICK UP THE PHONE or HAVE FACE TO FACE CONVERSATIONS.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Positive, professional, and proactive a must
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and active automobile insurance
  • Some travel required in the territory and for industry events
  • MUST live in territory preferably Oregon or Washington
