Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center is seeking a Charge Nurse to provide leadership and direction for the unit during designated shifts. The RN will assess and coordinate patient care in collaboration with the health care team and family, ensuring adherence to policies and quality standards.

The role involves direct nursing care, planning and evaluating treatment plans, and coordinating care across disciplines to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 30 days of employment start date
• BCLS within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS within 30 days of employment start date
• RN (Registered Nurse)
• Associate Degree

Responsibilities

• Direct nursing care in accordance with Las Palmas Medical Center policies and procedures.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, delegate and coordinate treatment plans and plan of care.
• Coordinate direction and functions of the unit on designated shifts in collaboration with management.
• Contribute to ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services in the unit.

Job Summary And Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the unit’s Director or designee the Charge Nurse assumes responsibility for direction and coordination of all functions in the unit on his/her designated shifts. In collaboration with other members of the management team, this individual is responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in unit. The RN staff nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of Las Palmas Medical Center. In collaboration with the patient, the patient’s family and other members of the health care team, the clinical RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, delegates and coordinates treatment plans and the plan of care.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree
