Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, invites a Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric ICU team in El Paso. The Charge Nurse oversees unit operations, directs nursing care, and collaborates with the health care team to assess and adjust plans of care for pediatric patients.

You will work under the direction of the unit director, ensuring high-quality patient care, coordination with families, and adherence to hospital policies.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required within 30 days of start date.
• RN license and relevant licensure for practice.
• Associate Degree in nursing or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care and supervise unit during shifts.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans with the care team.
• Collaborate with patients and families to coordinate treatment plans.

Job Summary and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the unit’s Director or designee the Charge Nurse assumes responsibility for direction and coordination of all functions in the unit on his/her designated shifts. In collaboration with other members of the management team, this individual is responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in unit. The RN staff nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of Las Palmas Medical Center. In collaboration with the patient, the patient’s family and other members of the health care team, the clinical RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, delegates and coordinates treatment plans and the plan of care.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
