Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Greendale, IN is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in breast imaging to join the Center for Women's Wellness. You will perform Mammography, DXA, and interventional procedures while upholding patient dignity, privacy, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities include preparing equipment, achieving high-quality images with minimal radiation, maintaining QC records, and supporting radiology staff and doctors in line with MQSA and ACR guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and state licensed.
  • Maintain CEUs as required by state and national levels.
  • Mammogram certification required within 1 year after orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Explain procedures to patients and encourage questions during exams.
  • Prepare Digital and DXA equipment for QC tests and assist Radiologist.
  • Obtain high-quality images and minimize radiation per MQSA/ACR guidelines.
  • Accurately document and maintain QC books for all rooms.
  • Maintain a repeat rate below the national average (4% per room).
  • Assist Clinical Engineering and PACS administrators as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.

Job Summary

Performs breast imaging services and other Women’s imaging services in the Center for Women's Wellness, while respecting patient’s dignity and maintaining privacy. Meets patient's need for accurate information in unhurried, responsive manner. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.

Job Description
  • Explains procedure to patients and encourages questions performing the Mammography/DXA/Interventional procedure examinations. Uses positive verbal and non-verbal communication to ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Prepares Digital and DXA equipment for daily/weekly QC tests at appropriate intervals. Assists Radiologist in interventional breast procedures. Obtain high quality images and minimizes radiation through quality positioning and techniques as indicated in the MQSA and ACR guidelines.
  • Accurately documents and maintain proper QC books for all rooms. Maintain a repeat rate below the National average of 4% or less per room.
  • Assists Clinical Engineering, PACS administrators when necessary.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by manager/supervisor
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Credentials, Licenses
  • Graduate of an AMA school of Radiologic Technology. Registered Radiologic Technologist required (ARRT). Licensed in the state where work is being performed.
  • Maintain CEU’s as required by the State & National levels.
  • Mammogram Certification required within 1 year after orientation/training is complete.
