Job summary

AdventHealth in Parker, Colorado is seeking a Part-time Mammography Technologist to join our breast imaging team. You will perform high-quality mammography studies, safeguard patient safety, and adhere to MQSA and ACR guidelines with compassionate care.

You will maintain EMR/PACS documentation, assist with accreditation activities, and coordinate with radiologists on results and follow-up. Prior mammography experience is required and a team-focused mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have Mammography experience and knowledge of diagnostic radiology procedures/positions.
• Must know MQSA & ACR regulatory requirements.
• Must read, write and speak English well.
• Proficient in EMR/PACS documentation and image quality control.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

• Participates in patient tracking and follow‑up processes, assisting with recalls, additional imaging coordination, and biopsy scheduling as required by departmental workflows.
• Supports breast center initiatives, such as accreditation preparation, community screening events, or quality improvement activities.
• Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time‑out procedures prior to starting exams.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
• Performs high‑quality examinations in accordance with provider orders and departmental protocols, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis.
• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low. Performs and documents daily system quality control (QC) checks in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements.
• Positions patients and operates mammography equipment to obtain optimal images, adjusting technical factors and compression as needed.
• Ensures patient identification, safety, and comfort, explaining procedures clearly and addressing questions or concerns with professionalism and compassion.
• Follows all MQSA, FDA, and ACR guidelines, including quality control testing, equipment performance checks, and documentation requirements.
• Collaborates with radiologists and breast imaging team to ensure accurate imaging and timely communication of results or next steps.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
