Job summary

Parkview Health in Indiana is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to join the Respiratory Care department. Provides care to patients for therapeutic purposes, performs bedside diagnostics, reviews and maintains respiratory care plans, and assists as a preceptor for students and new hires.

Must graduate from a respiratory therapy program, obtain NBRC RRT credential, hold an Indiana license, and maintain CPR.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a respiratory therapy program.
• Must obtain entry level NBRC RRT credential.
• Must have Indiana State license for Respiratory Care Practitioners.
• Must have current CPR certification.
• Parkview Randallia requires ACLS and NRP within 6 months (Community Hospital locations require ACLS and NRP within 6 months).
• PALS and Stable preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to all patient populations for therapeutic purposes.
• Performs bedside diagnostic procedures as needed.
• Reviews and maintains respiratory care plans.
• Performs evaluations on patients and adjusts the care appropriately.
• Assists as a preceptor for students and new hires.

Summary:

Education:

License/Certification:

Must obtain entry level certification and must have a valid Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC. Must have a current Indiana State license for Respiratory Care Practitioners. Must have current certification in CPR. Parkview Randallia (excludes Pulmonary Rehab and PFT areas) must have ACLS and NRP certifications or obtain in 6 months. Community Hospital locations, must have ACLS and NRP certifications or obtain within 6 months from date of hire or transfer; PALS and Stable preferred but not required.
