Job summary

Parkview Health in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide therapeutic patient care and perform bedside diagnostics. You will review and maintain respiratory care plans and evaluate patients to adjust care accordingly.

The role includes on-call responsibilities and opportunities to precept students and new hires as part of a dynamic respiratory care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a respiratory therapy program.
• Must hold NBRC RRT credential and Indiana license.
• Current CPR certification; ACLS/NRP preferred or obtainable within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to all patient populations for therapeutic purposes.
• Provides bedside diagnostic procedures as needed.
• Reviews and maintains respiratory care plans.
• Performs evaluations on patients and adjusts the care accordingly.
• Assists as a preceptor for students and new hires.

Education

Must be a graduate of a respiratory therapy program.

License/Certification

Must obtain entry level certification and must have a valid Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC. Must have a current Indiana State license for Respiratory Care Practitioners. Must have current certification in CPR. Parkview Randallia (excludes Pulmonary Rehab and PFT areas) must have ACLS and NRP certifications or obtain in 6 months. Community Hospital locations, must have ACLS and NRP certifications or obtain within 6 months from date of hire or transfer; PALS and Stable preferred but not required.
