Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Mother - Baby Unit to provide professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical setting.

Candidates must have NRP within 90 days, BSN by policy deadlines, and a FL RN license. OB/Neonatal certifications are preferred and’ll be maintained during employment. Background checks are part of the hiring process.

Qualifications

• Requires Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 90 days of hire.
• Requires basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, BSN is required within specified timeframe as outlined in policy.
• OB/Neonatal Certifications obtained during employment will be maintained: ENFMR/ Maternal-Newborn Nursing/ Low Risk Neonatal/ Lactation Certifications.

Required Qualifications

• Require Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 90 days of hire.
• Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).
• Require any OB/Neonatal Certifications obtained during employment will be maintained during the remainder of employment. These include but are not limited to: Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification, Maternal-Newborn Nursing Certification, Low Risk Neonatal Certification, any Lactation Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer certification in nursing specialty area.

BSN: Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Required License and Certifications

BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR

FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License
