Job summary

Minnesota Coaches LLC is looking for a dedicated Route Driver to transport passengers along designated routes with a focus on safety and customer service.

The role requires clear English communication, basic mechanical knowledge for inspections, and the ability to work with children and individuals with special needs. Background checks will be conducted, and training is provided. This is a part-time, customer-facing driving position.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience with school bus driving is preferred but not required.
• Basic mechanical knowledge to perform inspections.
• Clear English communication; multilingual skills are a plus.
• Excellent customer service and a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to write reports and keep accurate records.
• Experience with childcare is advantageous.
• Must pass background checks as required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the route vehicle and ensure on-time arrivals and departures.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Assist passengers, including children and those with disabilities, during boarding and alighting.
• Maintain passenger counts, mileage, and incident records.
• Communicate route changes or passenger needs with dispatch and team.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all passengers.
• Comply with traffic laws and company safety standards.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers along designated routes while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, some mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with diverse populations, including children and individuals with special needs.

Duties

• Safely operate a vehicle along assigned routes, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Assist passengers, including children and those with disabilities, during boarding and disembarking.
• Maintain accurate records of passenger counts, mileage, and any incidents that occur during the route.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or passenger needs.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all passengers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
• Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and regulations while driving.

Requirements
