Position Summary

Independently performs diagnostic cardiac echocardiology procedures using proper techniques and protocols. Coordinates patient flow and activities within the department. Maintains equipment in good condition and may perform other cardiology procedures based on departmental needs. May have on-call responsibilities.

Minimum Education & Certification
  • Associate degree in Allied Health with a focus on Ultrasound/Sonography.
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer credentialed by CCI or ARDMS.
  • CPR Certification.
Experience

No prior experience required; preferred three years of clinical echocardiography experience demonstrating competencies.

Skills
  • Proficient in performing diagnostic procedures and obtaining images for physician interpretation.
  • Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
