Are you looking for a position where you can showcase your motor vehicle operator skills? Do you want to help Bucky keep UW-Madison campus looking clean and safe? Then come join UW-Madison's Waste & Recycling team today! This position operates large solid waste removal trucks and heavy equipment to collect, transport, and dump the institution's solid waste and recycling materials while ensuring compliance with environmental and governmental laws on what can/cannot be landfilled. As a Refuse Collector, you will be collecting and transporting waste, recycling, and compostable materials along with container placements, and maintenance. You will have the opportunity to work with the Office of Sustainability and our Zero Waste Team, because UW Madison is proud to be among the leaders in the Big Ten in Recycling and Composting. The starting hourly rate for this position is $24.00, with potential for negotiation based on your experience and qualifications. Additionally, we are offering a $2,000 hiring bonus!
