Job summary

The City of Richardson Texas is seeking a Driver/Loader for Solid Waste Services. In this role, you will operate a rear load vehicle to collect residential refuse and recyclable materials. Responsibilities include loading, transporting, and maintaining the vehicle while ensuring safety protocols are followed.

This position requires the ability to lift heavy objects, work in varying weather conditions, and communicate effectively with team members and the public. A High School Diploma or GED and a Texas Commercial Driver's License are preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of eleventh grade required.
• One year of preferred experience in driving dump/container body trucks.
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a rear load vehicle for refuse collection.
• Load refuse, recycling, and brush by hand.
• Perform preventative maintenance checks on assigned vehicles.
