Job summary

GE HealthCare in Salt Lake City, UT seeks a full-time student intern in engineering or manufacturing to support equipment implementation, process validation, and quality projects in a regulated manufacturing environment.

You will co-lead improvement projects, learn Lean Six Sigma tools, collect data, and apply problem-solving methods. This 10-week+ internship requires relocation and completion of at least sophomore year; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related technical discipline.
• Must have completed at least 24 credit hours towards degree; minimum sophomore standing.

Job Description Summary

Supports manufacturing and process improvement initiatives by assisting with equipment implementation, process validation, product qualification, quality projects, and data-driven problem solving while applying Lean Six Sigma principles in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Role Summary

Performs diverse and complex assignments in support of GEHC product development and manufacturing. Assignments may include, but are not limited to: Assist in new equipment introduction (fabrication, assembly, and qualification) Assist in Process Validation activities for new test processes (work instruction development and process validation execution) Report/document results of tests and measures. Ensure compliance and quality of all activities Works on projects, often requiring independent decision-making.

Qualifications / Requirements

• A full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or another related technical discipline.
• At least 24 credit hours of coursework toward a bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or another related technical discipline; minimum of sophomore year standing.
• A GPA of at least 3.0.
• Strong initiative and ability to work independently and in teams.
• Able to work for a minimum of 10 weeks.
• Must be willing to relocate.
