Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a hospital or physician setting.
• Experience with analyzing explanation of benefits (EOBs) from various insurance companies/payors.
• Ability to research patient accounts in Epic EMR and understand payment/write-off transactions.
• Ability to interpret EOBs/RAs and understand coordination of benefits.

Responsibilities

• Daily processing of third party and patient refunds to bring resolution to accounts.
• Research patient accounts in the Epic EMR system with understanding of payment and write-off transactions.
• Accurately analyze and research patient accounts and submit necessary adjustments.
• Interpret EOBs (explanation of benefits) and RAs and coordinate benefits.
• Document, reconcile, and resolve unapplied credit balances in a timely manner; support revenue reporting for LCMC Health.
