Job summary

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 6, Seedskadee National Wildlife Refuge in Green River, Wyoming, seeks a Maintenance Worker to perform a wide range of construction, repair, and maintenance tasks on buildings, facilities, vehicles, and equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience performing building and facility maintenance across multiple trades.
• Ability to operate and maintain a range of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform building and facility maintenance including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, roofing, painting and welding.
• Maintain and repair vehicles and heavy equipment, including testing and preventative maintenance.
• Operate heavy equipment and motor vehicles for land management and construction tasks.
• Lead small projects: plan steps, train others, ensure safe practices, document maintenance.
• Support refuge operations by maintaining water control structures and assisting with land management activities.
