Job Summary
The Refueler is responsible for the safe and efficient fueling and defueling of aircraft and other authorized equipment. This position operates Company fueling vehicles and specialized equipment that do not require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and performs fuel transfers, equipment inspections, required documentation, and other fueling-related duties. The Refueler is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and secure work environment while following established Company safety, security, and operational procedures.

Starting at $27.00 p/hr
Schedule
M-F 8:00AM - 5:00PM during training. Must be available to work weekends following training based on assigned schedule.

Essential Functions
- Follow established safety procedures for the handling, transfer, storage, dispensing, fueling, and defueling of aviation fuel and other applicable petroleum products.
- Perform pre-use inspections of assigned fueling vehicles and equipment to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in proper working condition.
- Safely operate Company fueling vehicles and specialized equipment that do not require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), primarily on Company property and airport operating areas.
- Safely maneuver and position fueling vehicles and equipment around aircraft and other ground equipment; connect and disconnect fueling hoses, nozzles, bonding/grounding equipment, and safely fuel or defuel aircraft and other authorized Company equipment.
- Monitor and operate fuel tanks, pumps, valves, meters, gauges, and related equipment to safely control fuel transfers and identify abnormal conditions or potential problems.
- Complete and verify meter tickets, fueling records, fuel-transfer records, fuel quantities, receipts, and other related calculations and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform required fuel quality-control checks and promptly report suspected contamination, leaks, equipment malfunctions, vehicle or equipment defects, accidents, damage, spills, or other unsafe conditions.
- Operate Company radios, telephones, and other communication equipment to coordinate with supervisors, other departments, and personnel in support of safe and timely aircraft fueling and operational requirements.
- Maintain fueling vehicles, equipment, fuel storage areas, and work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition, including responding to and assisting with the containment of cleanup of fuel or oil spills in accordance with established procedures and training.
- Install and remove tire chains and perform other routine seasonal preparations on assigned vehicles and equipment as necessary.
- Perform authorized operator-level servicing of fueling equipment and report equipment requiring maintenance or repair to appropriate personnel.

Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record is required. A commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is not required for this position.
- Must be able to pass an Airport Background Criminal History Check.
- Must be able to work effectively in a drug-free workplace and comply with company drug and alcohol policies.
- Must be able available to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call schedules.
- Requires the ability to coordinate with and work for a variety of personnel and must be self-motivated, organized, and comfortable with frequent change.
- Knowledge of fueling operations and delivery procedures is preferred.
- Proficient in computer literacy with experience in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is preferred.
- Able to collaborate with team as well as work independently without supervision is required.
