Job summary

Virginia Beach City Public Schools seeks a Refrigeration Technician to troubleshoot and maintain refrigeration equipment at multiple schools. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of field experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, install and maintain refrigeration equipment across assigned schools/facilities.
• Respond to maintenance requirements via work orders, preventive maintenance, and emergencies.
• Operate a work truck and coordinate with dispatch and staff.
• Maintain accurate work order records and parts inventory.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Procure parts and services from vendors.
• Collaborate with school personnel on job requests and outcomes.
