Job summary

Thermo King is hiring a Refrigeration Technician Apprentice in Commerce City, CO. This role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Thermo King reefer units and auxiliary power units (APUs).

Qualifications

• Ability to perform moderate to heavy manual labor including lifting and bending.
• Possess a valid driver license to operate motor vehicles.
• Ability to maintain a forklift license.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Thermo King reefer units.
• Perform preventive maintenance on trailer and truck equipment.
• Use the Asset Library portal for manual and labor guides.

Skills

Basic mechanical knowledge & skills

Basic knowledge of 4-cycle engines

Basic knowledge of Ohm’s Law

Basic knowledge of electricity and 12-volt DC

Ability to use hand and power tools

Computer diagnostic equipment skills

Forklift operation skills

Ability to read schematics

Education

0 – 2 years of trade school or equivalent experience
