Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in refrigeration or HVAC is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in industrial refrigeration maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and safety regulations.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites.

IRpros is currently seeking an experienced Ammonia Refrigeration Technician to service clients throughout the Southern California region, including Los Angeles, Orange County, Riverside, and San Bernardino.

The Ammonia Refrigeration Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial refrigeration systems that use ammonia as a refrigerant. This role is ideal for a skilled technician who understands the importance of safety, reliability, customer service, and compliance in industrial refrigeration environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot ammonia refrigeration systems
• Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration equipment
• Respond to emergency service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Certification in refrigeration or HVAC systems preferred
• 2+ years of experience in industrial refrigeration maintenance and repair
