We are seeking a Refrigeration Technician 3 to join our Facilities Refrigeration team! Refrigeration Technician 3s provide expert support to retail refrigeration operations by performing HVAC repair, maintenance, rack refrigeration general maintenance and some routine general refrigeration maintenance service requests for retail stores. You can make a difference in the quality and reliability of our refrigeration systems by applying your expert knowledge of the trade while serving as a full time Publix associate. Primary responsibilities include:

1. Evaluating and performing HVACR repairs and general maintenance on all refrigeration systems and equipment in the retail environment, including complex issues, independently utilizing expert knowledge.
2. Training and mentoring other Refrigeration Technician 1s and 2s on all aspects of performing service on all equipment.
3. Performing housekeeping duties such as maintaining accurate parts inventory.
4. Participating in special refrigeration projects for retail facilities and assisting with the implementation of corporate projects.

Year End Bonus:

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.

Required Qualifications:

1. HVAC or Refrigeration Trade school completion or equivalent experience.
2. Five (5) years working in supermarket refrigeration service OR two (2) years as a Refrigeration Technician 2.
3. EPA Universal License.
4. Must be at least 20 years old and have a valid driver license.
5. Advanced electrical circuit troubleshooting.
6. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
7. Knowledge of EMS systems i.e., Danfoss and Emerson.
8. Ability to lift/lower/climb ladders/walk on roofs.
9. Willingness to work a flexible schedule; including nights, weekends, and to travel with overnight stays.
10. Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Seven (7) years working in supermarket refrigeration service OR four (4) years as a Refrigeration Technician 2.
