Job summary

Gateway Truck & Refrigeration in Justice, IL is seeking a Refrigeration Technician for 2nd shift to service Carrier and other transport refrigeration units. You will perform shop and on-site repairs, preventive maintenance, and diagnose malfunctions to keep customers running.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in refrigeration or diesel mechanics, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain DOT certification.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as refrigeration tech or diesel mechanic required.
• Ability to obtain & maintain DOT Certification.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs of refrigeration units and APUs in shop and at customer locations.
• Perform all levels of Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairs.
• Diagnose malfunctions and update customer on needed repairs.
• Identify warranty repairs and document properly on the repair order.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Complete required documentation for work orders and customer billing.
• Other duties as assigned.
