JTM Food Group is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to operate, maintain and repair large industrial refrigeration systems on site in Harrison, OH. You will keep logs, perform emergency repairs, and participate in PSM meetings while following GMP and safety standards.

The role requires High School Diploma and RETA-based certifications, with opportunities for overtime and weekend work as needed. Strong customer service and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, repair and troubleshoot large industrial refrigeration systems.
• Maintain daily logs and required paperwork.
• Perform emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed.
• Attend PSM meetings and functions.
• Utilize CMMS software.
• Apply troubleshooting using electrical schematics and P&IDs.
• Comply with safety, GMP and food safety standards; keep areas clean.

SCOPE – REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN

Under general supervision, perform tasks relative to the operation, maintenance, repair and compliance of all process and storage industrial refrigeration systems. May perform other maintenance duties as assigned.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN

• Responsible for all facets of operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting large industrial refrigeration systems.
• Maintain daily logs and other required paperwork.
• Perform emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed.
• Attend PSM meetings and functions.
• Utilize CMMS software.
• Apply troubleshooting skills with the use of electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and P&ID’s.
• Must comply with all safety regulations, GMP standards, and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

SUCCESS CRITERIA – REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN

• Process Safety/Safety/GMP/Food Safety/Quality policies followed.
• Reporting accuracy met.
• IIAR standards met.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS – REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN

• Ability to build strong relationships, provide excellent customer service, and problem solve.
• High School Diploma.
• Industrial Refrigeration experience preferred (RETA based certifications).
• Electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
• PSM experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work from heights, climb ladders, and lift/pull as needed.
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
• Willing and able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• This position is an onsite position.
