Purpose and Impact of the Job

The Senior Process Engineer applies engineering techniques to assist in the improvement of soybean grinding and biodiesel manufacturing processes. In this role, you will provide technical support, operational experience, continuous improvement, and project management skills in a plant support capacity that ensures safe, efficient, and low-cost operations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Analysis and optimization of industrial processes, with the objective of reducing costs, improving efficiency, safety, and product quality.
  • Apply continuous process improvement methodologies.
  • Conduct risk analysis of process/equipment changes.
  • Analyze key performance indicator monitoring systems and determine ways to improve the company's ability to maintain operations.
  • Lead personnel training in the use of equipment and processes.
  • Develop work procedures and methodologies, focusing on operational safety, quality, efficiency, and operability.
  • Establish equipment efficiency monitoring processes.
  • Handle complex problems independently with minimal supervision.
  • Propose equipment resizing and application of new technologies to the production process.
  • Manage small projects in the unit.
  • Responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving process safety tools (Process Safety Management).
Qualifications

Minimum

  • Higher education in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related fields.
  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Process management experience.
  • Advanced English.
  • Advanced Office package.
  • Knowledge of process safety tools.

Desirable

  • Fluent English
  • Postgraduate degree in project management
  • Knowledge of advanced problem-solving tools
  • Economic and financial feasibility analysis of projects
