Albertsons Companies in San Diego seeks a Refrigeration Construction Technician to install, retrofit and build refrigeration equipment and systems. You will troubleshoot systems, read blueprints, and coordinate with contractors to ensure efficient operation.

Qualifications

• EPA 608 Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Computer literacy.
• High School diploma or equivalent; vocational-technical programs preferred.
• Willingness to work day or night shifts including overtime.
• Ability to read and comprehend manuals, prints and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Install, retrofit and build refrigeration equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot refrigeration systems, wiring, controls, piping and valves.
• Interpret blueprints for piping layouts, walk-in boxes and coils.
• Install drain lines for cases and walk-in evaporator coils; charge systems with refrigerant.
• Operate scissor lift, forklift and other equipment as required.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment and coordinate with office teams and contractors.
