About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Refrigeration Systems Quality Technician to ensure our high-performance cooling equipment meets rigorous operational standards before reaching our customers. You will play a vital role in the final validation process, ensuring that every unit is safe, efficient, and fully functional.
Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive functional testing and commissioning of industrial chillers and refrigeration systems to guarantee performance excellence.
- Analyze complex engineering schematics, wiring diagrams, and piping layouts to verify that equipment assembly aligns with technical specifications.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration-related performance issues to maintain high production quality.
- Perform critical system tasks including refrigerant charging, leak detection, evacuation, and recovery in compliance with safety regulations.
- Interact with PLC, HMI, and VFD control interfaces to calibrate settings and validate system responses.
- Document all test results, inspection findings, and quality records to maintain accurate manufacturing data.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability and testing efficiency.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, HVAC/R, or technical manufacturing environments.
- Proven ability to interpret technical documentation, including wiring diagrams and piping schematics.
- Experience utilizing diagnostic tools and electronic record-keeping systems.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs and working around large machinery.
Preferred Skills
- EPA Section 608 Certification or equivalent technical training.
- Hands-on experience with industrial refrigeration components like compressors, heat exchangers, and valves.
- Familiarity with electrical safety standards and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Technical degree or military training in a related mechanical or electrical field.
