Job summary

RD&S is seeking a Pipefitter to install industrial refrigeration system piping at customer sites. You will lay out pipe from flow diagrams produced by RD&S Engineering per IIAR standards and follow directions from Field Supervisors to support diverse projects.

The role requires traveling up to 10 days and staying out of town occasionally, attendance at company training and safety meetings, and strict adherence to RD&S and OSHA protocols.

Qualifications

• Understand and interpret flow diagrams and layout drawings.
• Properly fit refrigeration, water and glycol pipe.
• Experience with Excel, Word, email, and MS Project; AutoCAD a plus.
• Report and resolve discrepancies with RD&S engineering and Director of Construction.
• Follow all safety protocols (RD&S, OSHA, client) and attend meetings.

Responsibilities

Description

The Pipefitter will install industrial refrigeration system piping at various customer locations. Must be able to layout pipe from flow diagrams generated by the RD&S Engineering Department per IIAR standards, and follow instructions from RD&S Field Supervisors in order to assist in portions of various Projects.

Requirements

• Understand and properly interpret flow diagrams and layout drawings
• Ability to properly fit up refrigeration, water and glycol pipe
• Working knowledge of computer software including but not limited to Excel, word, email, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD a plus
• Report and resolve discrepancies in the drawings to RD&S engineering department and Director of Construction
• Ensure all material specifications for equipment, pipe and other materials are being followed.
• Ability to visualize final pipe path and layout accordingly per IIAR pipe standards
• Must travel as required and stay out of town on a job up to 10 days, occasionally longer. (out of town not a constant, but on occasion)
• Attend all company sponsored functions
• Attend company sponsored training as required
• Ensure all RD&S, OSHA and client safety protocols are followed at all times
• Attend safety and construction meetings
