Job summary

Dot Foods Inc. is seeking a Refrigeration Mechanic to monitor and maintain ammonia refrigeration systems and related safety systems.

You will collaborate with the Process Safety Coordinator to support the facility's Process Safety Management and Risk Management Programs. The role covers maintenance of ammonia/industrial Freon systems, glycol heating, and cooperation on safety audits, procedures, and lean improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, General Equivalency Degree, or relevant work experience
• Experience in environments that promote safety
• Strong working knowledge of 120V-480V 3-phase
• Experience in ammonia refrigeration or extensive Freon refrigeration experience
• A dedication to eliminating waste in all areas of the position.

• Occasionally, support Building Maintenance on a variety of projects
• Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.

Job description

As a Refrigeration Mechanic, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the ammonia refrigeration system and/or Industrial Freon, ammonia or Freon safety systems and work with the Process Safety Coordinator to develop and maintain Process Safety Management Program and Risk Management Program.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

YOU MAY ALSO HAVE

• Computer skills
• Work experience in situations where human error could result in financial loss or personal injury
• Experience in Hot Work, Line Break and Fall Prevention

ROLE SPECIFICS

• Schedule: Sunday Through Wednesday 7am to 5:30 pm
• Requires working at high heights
• Exposure to chemicals and noise
• Emergency Response team member
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor temperatures ranging from below zero to above 100 degrees with high humidity.
