Tyson Foods' Amarillo Plant is seeking a Refrigeration Maintenance technician to operate and maintain the facility's refrigeration systems across Processing and Harvest areas. The role includes working six days per week with rotating days off, and requires stamina to work blocked shifts in cold to hot environments.

A background in ammonia refrigeration or boiler rooms is required (or 12 months mechanical work).

Qualifications

• 6 months ammonia refrigeration or boiler room experience.
• 12 months experience of mechanical work will be considered in lieu of refrigeration experience.

The role requires standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching in all work areas. Candidates must be able to climb stairs and ladders and lift up to 100 pounds. Work is performed in cold, damp, or hot and humid environments, with temperatures ranging from 30°F to 105°F. Candidates must be mechanically inclined; welding experience is preferred.* Refrigeration maintenance crews work six (6) days per week with two (2) rotating days off.
