Job summary

Pinnacle Equipment LLC is seeking a Reefer Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair transport refrigeration units on our fleet of refrigerated trailers and trucks. The role ensures units meet temperature-control specs to protect perishable freight and minimize downtime.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose electrical/mechanical faults, handle refrigerant recovery in line with EPA 608, and document service records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience servicing transport refrigeration or diesel/HVAC.
• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.
• Valid CA driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to read technical manuals and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair reefer units on trailers and trucks.
• Perform preventive maintenance like oil changes and refrigerant checks.
• Repair electrical, mechanical, and microprocessor faults.
• Recover, recycle, evacuate, and recharge refrigerant per EPA 608.
• Maintain accurate service records and work orders.
• Respond to road service calls to minimize downtime.
• Follow safety policies per Cal/OSHA and OSHA.
