Mead & Hunt - Refrigeration Engineer Position

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth. We are currently offering a full-time position for a refrigeration engineer.

1. Responsibilities include:

• Conducting job-site surveys
• Calculating refrigeration requirements for process cooling and building loads
• Assisting in the development of project documentation such as drawings, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's), equipment schedules, details, specifications, scope of work, etc.
• Selecting and applying system equipment to new and existing systems
• Coordinating technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and clients

Some travel will be required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
• At least five years of relevant mechanical experience
• PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states

Preferred Experience

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

• Project management
• Ammonia refrigeration design
• Chilled water/hydronic design
• Equipment selection
• Developing piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
• Microsoft Office software
• Mentoring less experienced staff
