Job summary

Albertsons Companies seeks a Refrigeration Construction Tech to lead the installation, retrofit and building of refrigeration equipment and systems. You will troubleshoot systems, wiring, controls, piping and valves during installation, and read blueprints for layout and installation in walk-in boxes.

The role requires an EPA Section 608 Universal Certification, a valid driver’s license, and comfort with performing start-ups and accurate data entry. Overtime and on-call duties may be needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must possess an EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
• Must be computer literate.
• High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of building related vocational - technical programs are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, retrofit and build refrigeration equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot refrigeration systems, wiring, controls, piping and valves during installation.
• Interpret blueprints, including piping layout and coil installation in walk-in boxes.
• Perform installation of drain lines for cases and walk-in evaporator coils.
• Maintain an organized, neat, clean and safe work environment in mechanical room, sales floor, roof, service vehicle, etc.
