Job summary

Kroger Co. is seeking a Refrigerant Analysis Specialist in Cincinnati, OH to create reports, analyze refrigerant usage details, and assist with refrigeration engineering functions.

You will support enterprise refrigerant management software systems and communicate with the Refrigeration Engineering team. The role requires 2+ years in refrigeration, a Bachelor's degree in engineering, EPA Type 2 Certification, and strong technical writing/presentation skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in the refrigeration field.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent field experience.
• EPA Type 2 Certification is required.
• Working knowledge of USEPA Section 608 record keeping requirements.
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret contracts and architectural plans.
• Basic financial training.
• Proficient with spreadsheets, word-processing and database programs.
• Knowledge of refrigerant management software.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management.
• Experience as technician supervisor, advanced refrigeration technician, maintenance engineer, or maintenance manager.

Responsibilities

• Analyze refrigerant usage details and communicate with Refrigeration Engineering team.
• Support the corporate refrigerant compliance program for all retail facilities.
• Guide division facility teams on refrigerant conversions and record-keeping compliance.
• Have a working knowledge of current Federal EPA and State Regulations.
• Communicate effectively to identify and resolve problems.
• Communicate with Refrigeration Engineering and division facility engineering teams regularly regarding operation, progress metrics, accomplishments and opportunities.
• Use existing and new computer systems and software to improve efficiency in managing refrigerants.
• Travel independently (15%).
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
