Job summary

Pilgrim is seeking a Refrigeration and Boiler Tech in Green Bay. The role focuses on installing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration/HVAC and boiler systems, with emphasis on ammonia refrigeration and regulatory compliance.

A 4-on/4-off shift pattern is in place, with on-site responsibilities and a requirement to pursue state licensure where applicable. The position expects 1–2 years of related experience or accredited HVAC education, clear English communication, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in commercial refrigeration/boiler operation preferred.
• Must read, speak and understand English sufficiently to comply with regulatory requirements.
• NH3 refrigeration knowledge and plant refrigeration systems understanding.
• Must be able to pass PFT Spirometry test.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and modify refrigeration/HVAC and boiler equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and document information.
• Train other maintenance mechanics in ammonia refrigeration/HVAC/Boiler operations.
• Possess the ability and willingness to be state licensed.
• Work with limited supervision and provide feedback to Supervisors on maintenance concerns.
• Work 4 days on 4 days off with a monthly 7:00am to 7:00pm rotation.

Job Title: Refrigeration and Boiler Tech

Location: Green Bay

Reporting to: B&E Supervisor

Pay Range: $30.95- $36.45

Essential Job Functions

• Installs new equipment, repairs and modifies existing refrigeration/HVAC and boiler equipment
• Performs necessary preventative maintenance on all equipment up to and including rebuilding compressors and boilers as needed and records necessary information
• Trains other maintenance mechanics in ammonia refrigeration/HVAC/Boiler operations.
• Possess the ability and willingness to be state licensed
• Ability to work with limited supervision and provides feedback to Supervisors on maintenance concerns
• Ability to work 4 days on 4 days off with a monthly 7:00am to 7:00pm rotation.

Experience Required

• 1-2 years in commercial refrigeration environment/boiler operation, relevant HVAC experience and/or accredited education preferred
• Must be able to read, speak and understand English sufficiently to comply with regulatory requirements.
• Working knowledge of NH3 refrigeration principles and understanding of plant refrigeration systems, electric and mechanical procedures or relevant HVAC experience
• Must be able to pass PFT Spirometry test
