Job summary

Ajinomoto Foods North America in Portland is seeking a Production Associate to help pack bagged products into boxes and stack cases in a refrigerated environment. This role requires careful packing, proper labeling, and clear communication of equipment or product issues to the Lead.

Schedules are typically Monday–Thursday with occasional Fridays, 5:30am–3:30pm. Starting pay is $17.80/hour, and benefits begin on DAY ONE, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus STD/LTD/Life on DAY

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Basic math skills required.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English preferred.

Responsibilities

Assemble and prepare bags and boxes.
Ensure proper coding and sealing of bags and boxes before packing into cases or onto pallets.
Ensure proper stacking and placement of finished cases on pallets.
Understand different case packs and weight ranges of product.
Follow GMP and sanitation practices and report defects or issues.
Monitor packing equipment for proper operation and communicate shifts changes.
