Summary
As a Refreshment Service Technician, you’ll represent American Food & Vending at client locations, driving a company van to service, repair, and maintain vending machines and beverage dispensers. You’ll troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues, perform routine maintenance, and deliver outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles to visit client locations for the repair, maintenance, and installation of vending machines and beverage dispensers for water and coffee.
- Respond promptly to service calls, troubleshoot issues efficiently, and communicate effectively with customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Install, maintain, and repair a variety of vending, beverage, coffee, water, and micro market equipment.
- Conduct systematic inspections of motors, keypads, cooling systems, electrical wiring, and water connections to ensure peak equipment performance.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and calibrating machine components such as pressure gauges and thermostats.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation standards for all machines and surrounding service areas.
- Manage parts inventory, place orders for necessary repair components, and maintain accurate service documentation and maintenance logs.
- Ensure all installations and repairs comply with applicable plumbing, electrical, and health and safety regulations.
- Safely transport equipment to and from repair facilities as needed.
- Maintain company vehicles and tools in clean, organized, and working condition.
- Collaborate closely with route drivers, fellow technicians, and customer service teams to deliver exceptional client support.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Technical or associate-level training in electronics, mechanics, or related field preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience in equipment maintenance, vending, kiosk, POS, or similar technical repair roles.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with knowledge of automated systems, microprocessors, and schematics.
- Proficient with diagnostic tools, handheld devices, and basic service software.
- Excellent problem‑solving, time management, and customer service abilities.
- Able to lift 30 lbs., bend, kneel, climb, and work in varied environments.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
