Job summary

Commercial Metals is seeking a maintenance-oriented team member to support a range of production and safety tasks in our facilities. The role involves assisting maintenance, performing routine inspections, troubleshooting, and maintaining clean, safe work areas.

You will work in an environment with temperature variations, exposure to dust and chemicals, and potential high-noise areas. A high school diploma or GED is required, with a strong work ethic and dependable attendance a must.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance personnel when requested.
• Uphold safety culture and participate in safety programs.
• Communicate about production issues and needs to team.
• Ensure shift equipment inspection reports are completed.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Suggest improvements to work methods and procedures.
• Maintain daily housekeeping and organized work areas.
• Troubleshoot problems using knowledge and communication with others.
• Follow startup/shutdown/emergency procedures.
• Be alert to unsafe conditions and report them immediately.
