Qualifications

• Read blueprints, schematics, and process flow diagrams to perform tasks.
• Welding and acetylene burning preferred.
• Willingness to upgrade knowledge and attend training.

Responsibilities

• Receive work orders and follow instructions from supervisor or manager.
• Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to perform refractory tasks.
• Set up equipment for cutting brick to size and shape.
• Install refractory materials in various furnaces and repair furnace castings.
• Operate cranes and other equipment to move refractory materials safely.
• Maintain safety compliance including ANSI fall protection requirements.
