Job summary

Hoover & Strong is seeking a hands-on Production Operator-Refining in the USA. You will smelt materials in a high temperature furnace, handle loading and shipping duties, and maintain accurate records for internal tracking in a casual, non-corporate atmosphere.

Requirements include a High School Diploma/GED, safety compliance, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred, with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma/GED.
• Must be able to follow all safety policies and comply with OSHA/EPA and state/federal requirements.
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and stay motivated.
• Must ensure accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Smelt material in a high temperature induction furnace to produce bullion; maintain dependable attendance and be on time.
• Cleans, drills and processes bullion for assay testing; keep customer lots separate during smelting.
• Operates forklift to receive shipments and unload trucks; prepares outgoing shipments and paperwork.
• Documents dock inventory accurately and weighs, photographs, and describes customer sweeps lots.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area and uses required safety equipment.
