Job summary

PBF Energy is seeking a Sr. Safety Specialist to support the refinery’s health and safety programs. You will collaborate across the organization to develop procedures, conduct audits, and lead safety meetings while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role involves incident investigations, hazard analyses, and participation in cross-functional teams to improve safety performance and training materials. Strong experience in industrial hygiene and refinery operations is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Sciences, Occupational Safety or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of safety and/or industrial hygiene experience is required.
• Experience in a petroleum, chemical, or manufacturing plant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with all levels to support development of facility H&S programs and safe work practices.
• Participate as a member of facility Business Teams and lead/participate in safety committees.
• Analyze safety performance and statistics and lead audits and inspections.
• Develop, conduct, and participate in safety meetings and training materials.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Sciences, Occupational Safety or related course of study preferred
